What makes the Jurong Bird Park such a popular tourist destination? Jurong Park is a fantastic destination for tourists looking for a day out with family. The park houses more than 9000 birds, which belong to 600 species if not more; amazing isn’t it? There are many other features of the park, which interest locals and tourists alike. These aspects include, park attractions, bird shows, interesting park activities and much more. Jurong Bird Park is spread over an approximate area of 20 hectares and makes a perfect venue to spend a day with family and kids. The place is known for the biggest breeding outpost of Humboldt Penguins in the world. If you like bird watching then this place is sure to delight you.

For tourist convenience, the conservation park offers a monorail. This train takes you on a Jurong Bird Park tour and you will be able to see the highlights of the place. These highlights include:

Pelican Cove:


If you want to watch the Pelicans, then all you got to do is take a walk along the broad pathway. You can also see them dive for fish at the underwater viewing gallery, which is acknowledged as the first of its kind in the world.

Penguin Parade:


Penguin Parade replicates the environment and ambience of Antarctica to a certain extent for 200 penguins belonging to as many as 5 species. These species include the King Penguin, the Fairy, the Macaroni Penguin, the Rockhopper and the Humboldt Penguin.

Waterfall Aviary:


It is considered to be the biggest aviary across the world, which houses over 1500 birds belonging to more than 60 species. Here you also get to see the world’s tallest artificial waterfall with a height of about 30 meters.

Splash N Slide Station:


The place has a wet and dry playground, which is filled with fun and excitement; ideal for kids. It is also the first of its kind in Singapore.
Apart from the ones mentioned above, the park has other attractions as well like Lory Loft, Southeast Asian Birds Aviary, a lake filled with numerous Pink Flamingos, World of darkness, etc.

Jurong Park Bird Shows:


All Star Bird show:


This show involves the largest diversity of birds, all performing in one act. Other than the performances, this show also gives you the opportunity to acquaint yourself with the natural behavior of different kinds of birds; like hornbill, flamingos, pelicans and many more.

Time:11:00 AM and 3:00 PM (everyday)
Venue: Pools Amphitheatre

Birds of Prey show:


Watch the beautiful falcons, hawks and eagles soaring over the tree-tops and leaping through aerial loops. The actions of these birds within the aviary are stimulated for tourists to experience the falconry world with their own eyes.

Time: 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM (daily)

Lunch with the Birds:
Enjoy a great lunch at the park’s café with a view of the beautiful tropical stetting of the aviary. The lunch time at Jurong Park is from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Bird's Eye Tour:
If you are already here at the park then you just can’t afford to miss the Bird’s Eye Tour. The aviary offers a 45 minutes electrical buggy tour, to give you a closer look and feel of the conservation park. You will also have a personal guide to show you around. For bookings, you need to contact the Guest Relations Officers of the park who will be more than happy to help you. These are chargeable tours but worth every penny you pay.

Photography with the Birds
To keep the memories of the park fresh in your mind, you are allowed to click pictures within the aviary. But note that many parts of the park may not allow flash photography. Ask the park personnel before you start clicking.

Be a Falconer
It is a chargeable program, which is hosted everyday at 1:00 PM, depending of the weather. The show duration is 30 minutes. All you have to do is register yourself before 12:30 PM at the Information Counter.
