The Happy Hollow Park and Zoo located in San Jose is a major entertainment parks in the state of California. A concept that evolved along with the popularity of Disney Land in 1950 became a reality in the year 1961 as the Happy Hollows Park was inaugurated after much attempts and fund crunch. The many attractions in the children park of San Jose began to gain popularity among the adults.

The Hollow Park and Zoo attractions were expanded over the years along with the renovation that the park underwent. There were massive changes noted in the themes and it became more delightful for the children visiting the place. The park is also informative for students in its own way. The outdoor adventure is sure to make your day most enjoyable here. The field trips in Hollow Park are a combination of “play and exploration”. There is a learning experience for your child at every corner of the park. Zoology, Botany, science, and environment conservation are the many programs that the park hosts. There is the Monkey Island and the fish conservation center from the conservation forum of the park. In 1964, the Happy-go-round with a set of 24-horses was introduced. Later in the year, the Mini-Putt-Putt Car and the Merry-go-round was added to the Happy Hollow theme park.
After 1979, the Kelley Park Express Train and the Mine Rode Coaster was started. The expansion spree of the park made it even more popular as the list of attractions and ride went on increasing. The Granny-Bug-Ride and an extra play area for the children were added along with the Crooked House meadow portion of the park. The planning for a Kids café within the zoo limits was apart of a master plan introduced in the year 1994. The renovation project had an estimated price of $50 million in San Jose.
The Zoo is defined with the animal exhibits that became more popular after the first phase of renovation ended in 1964. The Jaguar cage, the Monkey Island, the lemur region, installation of a tree trunk for the Muntjac deer, and replacement of the Hippopotamus pool in the habitat region was done until 1967. After reopening in 2008, the green revolution of Happy Hollow Park and Zoo added more features of attractions and facilities within the park limits for the visitors. The veterinary center, gift shops, restaurants, cafes, parking lounge, and a student’s education center was started. The education center in Happy Hollow Park was meant for the school students on an excursion to the place. The learning animal exhibits were considered as an informative source besides entertainment.
