Reaching the Gallerie dell'Accademia


This museum situated in the Campo della Carit? in the Sestriere of Dorsoduro (street number 1050) in Venice can be reached easily from major regions of the city. The art gallery is very closely located to the Accademia Bridge.

You can reach this place of tourist interest via boat ACTV Line 1 or Line 2 and get down at the Academia stop. You can even opt for a walk from P.le Roma (Parking) or from Santa Lucia train station to the museum.


Hours of Operation


The Gallerie dell’Accademia remains open throughout the year with designated holidays.

  • Monday from 8.15 am until 2.00 pm (last entrance at 1.15 pm)
  • From Tuesday to Sunday from 8.15 am until 7.15 pm (last entrance at 6.30 pm)

The Academia remains closed on January 1, May 1, and December 25

Admission rates

  • Full price ticket:? € 6,50 (+ € 1,00 as reservation fee)
  • Reduced price ticket:? € 3,25 (+ € 1,00 as reservation fee)

This reduced rates of ticket is available to -

  • European citizens aged 18 to 25 with identification document
  • Permanent state teachers without their school group

The museum also free tickets to visitors fulfilling any one of the following recommendations

You can collect the tickets from the ticket office located next to the entrance of the Venice art museum. Entrance will not be guaranteed if the visitors do not turn up at the front desk around 20 minutes earlier with the booking reference. Credit card holders will have to show an identification document to collect the tickets.

This Venetian museum of art even offers a system of online booking featuring a complete choice of dates, tickets, and time of visit. Payments made by credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS) are accepted. It is also to be noted that reservations done via online are not subject to changes, cancellations, and refund policies. Online reservation is limited to 10 tickets.
