    Martinis and Manicures is held every Thursday evening. The Great Northern Hotel becomes a “Beauty Saloon”.     This event is tantamount to the indoor pub markets in Newcastle. You can shop locally manufactured garments, jewelry, and novelties.     Menopause The Musical is the creation of Jeanie Linders. It is a very popular event among women in the city. The entire event is held in a department store.

  • Theater double bill: Mermaids of Mull/Trial by Jury
    Theaters are ultimate tourist attractions in the city. The Civic Playhouse hosts an array of famous shows. “Trial by Jury” is the creation of Gilbert & Sullivan. “Mermaids of Mull” is the creation by Nick Higginbottom & Gareth Hudson.

  • Italian Film Festival
    Hand in Hand Art House will proudly showcase the first Italian Film Festival in Newcastle. It will be held at the Greater Union Cinemas. You will enjoy the diverse cultural aspects of the contemporary Italian culture by films, with pre-session cheese, music, and wine tasting. Hand in Hand Art House will contribute all the revenue from the Festival to “Heal for Life Foundation”. The festival will kick off on 15th October (Friday). Performances by Italian guitar maestro Vincenzo Martinelli is an added attraction.

  • Mattara Hill Climb
    This thrilling car race is held every year on the meandering way of picturesque King Edward Park. Regarded one of the toughest Hillclimb trails in the country, King Edward Park has been a beautiful hill climbing site since 1951. The event has gained a lot of fame and it is currently conducted over two days. The New South Wales Hillclimb Championship will take place on 16 October (Saturday) and the Tri-Challenge series between Tamworth, Newcastle, and Kempsey Sporting Car Clubs will be held on 17 October (Sunday).

    A popular attraction of this event is the big historic car show in the adjoining park area, normally displaying classic and sports cars from other automobile and motorcycle clubs in the locality.

  • Muay Thai Boxing
    Newcastle Panthers will be organizing a top-notch Muay Thai Boxing event. Serin Murray, Thai Boxing world champion from Newcastle, will battle it out with Duennapa Kiatkriengasak from Thailand, the present WMC Muay Thai champion.
