  • Opera in the Outback 2010
    Opera in the Outback 2010 will be commemorating 10 years of opera in the tropical zone and offering amusement to the tourists and locals in Cairns. This 4 day long event has been nominated as the Best Festival & Event in Tropical Queensland in the year 2010. The event will host fabulous performances by some of the renowned performers like the following:

    Visiting Opera in the Outback 2010 is an excellent opportunity for you to unwind and enjoy some quality opera singing. The festival drew around 500 visitors in 2009 that included both local and overseas visitors.   • Crocodile Trophy - Cairns, Australia
    The Crocodile Trophy is regarded as the hottest, longest, and toughest mountain biking competition in the world. The event features more than 10 days of racing. Contestants include Olympic and World champions taking on an itinerary, which starts in the tropical haven of Cairns, prior to undertaking via the Tropical Tableland into the huge bush country close to Chillagoe. The competition subsequently proceeds to the north in the direction of the legendary Quinkan land of Laura prior to arrive at the shore at Cooktown once more. The Crocodile Trophy comes to the end where the tropical forest touches the reef, on the seashore at Cape Tribulation.

  • Cairns Tennis Pro Tournament
    Cairns Tennis Pro Tournament is going to take place in this year. Cairns will be home to a state-of-the-art tennis stadium and for observing the official inauguration of a top tennis tournament that will take place in the city. Tennis players from the top 100 to 200 rankings in the world will participate in this mega event for the championship. A festive dinner will also be arranged, which will be accompanied by guest appearance by a tennis star and other activities.
