First included into the state of Queensland in 1902, the city of Brisbane in Australia is located in the southeastern corner of Queensland. Located 28 kms north of Brisbane, the Alma Park Zoo is a major tourist attraction in this city. The animals which have made Alma Park Zoo their home for some time now, though not out of self interest, include Ring-tailed Lemur, Koala, Black-handed Spider Monkey, Squirrel Monkey, Cotton-top Tamarin, Common Marmoset, Rhesus Macque, Sacred Baboon, Eastern Grey Kangaroo, Red Kangaroo, Swamp Wallaby, Red Legged Pademelon, Fallow Deer, Red Deer, Asian Sun Bear, Arabian Camel and plenty of snakes, reptiles and birds.

The wide collection of animals and flora in the Alma Park Zoo interests every single person, young and old. Apart from this, the other tourist sites include Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, City Botanical Gardens, Lamington National Park, South Bank Beach and Roma Street Parklands.
