Decorative furniture, painted wall murals, and unique collections make this place worth visiting. Ayers Museum holds the history of Sir Henry Ayers who built this grand mansion and lived in it for many years. On public display are some extraordinary collections of decorative arts, furniture, silver and artwork during the period of Sir Henry Ayers.

The ancient house is considered as the perfect example of Regency architecture in Australia. The mansion initially consisted of 40 rooms, fine dining sections, and a ballroom.

South Australian Museum

The South Australian Museum, built in 1846, stands as a popular center of visit in Adelaide city. It is also a well-known cultural center having the largest collection of Australia’s indigenous artifacts, Melanesian art, and Egyptian antiquities. Rodney Fox Shark Experience

Rodney Fox Shark Experience in South Australia is appealing to sea adventure lovers. In the Glenelg Resort of Adelaide, there is an interesting exhibition of the underwater sea giants - White sharks. The museum and park is an effort of Rodney Fox who is a shark-attack survivor himself. In the year 1963, he was attacked by a white shark and was nearly bitten into half. After his miraculous survival, he became a pioneer in leading various shark expeditions. The various attractions at the Rodney Fox Shark Experience center include shark-watching excursions, shark diving trips, and a gift shop.

Port Noarlunga

Port Noarlunga is situated in Glenelg district in Adelaide. It is among the most beautiful and historic Adelaide tourist attractions. The Noarlunga port offers coastal walking tours, street cafes, restaurants, and scuba diving centers. People visit this place for fun and entertainment. Belair National Park

The Belair National Park came into existence in 1891. It is the first nature reserve of its kind in South Australia. The park is an interesting place for the children. The adults can visit the Old Government House that is equipped with ballroom and swimming pool. The old Government House is located within the park and was the summer home of former South Australian governor.

The park has many natural attractions and recreation centers. The park nursery, PlayFord Lake, and the Adventure Playground are places within the park meant for the children. Belair is host to many species of flora and fauna. Recreational facilities for adults comprise 50 tennis courts, picnic spots, and gas barbeques. Working trails at the park include Wood Duck Dawle, Lorikeet Loop Walk, Valley Loop Walk, Waterfall Hike, and Yurrebilla Trail.

Adelaide Hills

Hills are among the popular attractions for couples and honeymooners. Adelaide hills are located in the eastern part of the city. Varied flora and fauna, resorts, and restaurants have turned the hillside as major tourist stopover especially during the winter months.

Mount Lofty Botanic Garden

The Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is over 97 hectares and is among the popular places of excursions. It is situated on the slopes of Mount Lofty. The spring and the autumn seasons have blooming species of rhododendrons and ferns. There are other unique flowers too that grow on the hills. Other features of the garden include a rock garden and artificial lakes.

Adelaide Zoo

This is the second oldest zoo in the nation. It is located north of Adelaide’s city center. The zoo is home to around 300 species of flora and 1,800 animals. Walking through the zoo would lead you to the enclosures of the Sumatran Tigers and other endangered species in Australia. The panda exhibit in the zoo opened in 2009.
